Delaware Creek Park Restoration Project Construction to Commence
We are pleased to announce that the Delaware Creek Park Restoration Project will begin construction next month. The focus is on three major projects that will improve the water quality in the surrounding area and resulting runoff.
- Bioswale and rain garden in the open field near Wildwood Blvd. and Sherwood Ave., adjacent to S. Detroit Ave.
- Terraced rain garden on the streambank near Wildwood Blvd. at Marengo St.
- Bioswale and rain garden along the streambank near Wildwood Blvd. off River Rd.

Construction work is expected to begin in mid-April and is planned to be finished by the end of July 2020. Construction activities may be conducted anytime between 7:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m.
This project is funded through a grant from the Ohio Lake Erie Commission and U.S. EPA with Great Lakes Restoration Initiative funds and matching funds provided through Toledo's stormwater utility.
