Mayor Kapszukiewicz's office, in conjunction with Lucas County Prosecutor Julia Bates and Lisa Sobecki from the Lucas County Board of Commissioners, has joined hands with the Toledo Police Department to organize a vital initiative – a community gun buyback event.

We recognize the significance of reducing the presence of unwanted firearms in our neighborhoods, this event offers a crucial opportunity for residents to safely and responsibly dispose of old, unused, and unneeded guns. By doing so, we collectively contribute to the prevention of potential accidents, thefts, and misuse of firearms, fostering a safer environment for all residents.
