The action plan aims to improve neighborhood conditions, economic development, and access to basic services for residents, particularly those in low- to moderate-income communities, as identified in the 2020-2024 Five-Year Consolidated Plan.

Goals of the Action Plan:

  1. Create a suitable living environment by improving the well-being of low- to moderate-income residents through services addressing basic needs and progress toward self-sufficiency.
  2. Ensure access to healthy, safe, and affordable housing for low- to moderate-income households and advancing fair housing to address discrimination.
  3. Increase economic opportunities locally and creating jobs.

Residents can provide input at these meetings to help the city prioritize the specific activities funded by the city’s allocated CDBG, ESG, and HOME dollars, such as:

  1. Housing and Neighborhood Revitalization
  2. Economic Development
  3. Fair Housing
  4. Addressing Homelessness
  5. Lead Hazard Control
  6. Healthy Homes & Weatherization
  7. Public Facilities and Infrastructure
  8. Demolition and Blight Removal
