Old South End Neighborhood

The Department of Neighborhoods is hosting a virtual planning meeting to discuss the development of the City’s application to the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to designate the Old South End as a NRSA.

A Neighborhood Revitalization Strategy Area is a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) grantee-designated area targeted for revitalization. A NRSA is different from other local targeted areas in that the designation is reviewed and approved by HUD. The designation allows grantees enhanced flexibility in undertaking economic development, housing and public service activities with their CDBG funds.
